ExtrabyPrivacy policy
Extraby (“we”) provides money books, expense tracking, receipts, splits, and related services on the web and in the Extraby Android app (package com.byjanbooks.app).
Information we collect
- Account details you provide (name, email) when you sign in with email or Google.
- Money-book content you create (entries, receipts, splits, UPI IDs, notes, team membership).
- Device identifiers used for sign-in and, if you allow notifications, a push token so teammates can alert you.
- Optional camera, microphone, photos, and location when you scan a receipt or attach a file — only while that feature is used.
How we use it
We use this information to run your books, sync across devices, send the notifications you enable, prevent abuse, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information.
Processors
We use infrastructure providers such as Vercel (hosting), Neon (database), Firebase (authentication and Android notifications), and email providers to deliver invites and inbound receipt mail. They process data only to provide those services.
Retention and your choices
You can edit or delete entries in the app. You can disable notifications in system settings. To request account deletion see Delete your account. To request deletion of some data while keeping the account, see Delete your data. You can also email byjanbooks@gmail.com.
Children
Extraby is not directed at children under 13.
